My CS college has its portal's login page secured with captcha.
But the captcha is set on autocomplete.
I shit you not.5 -
I wrote in a rant here that I couldn't access my 1TB external hard-drive anymore because I refused to "Safely remove" it from my computer.
My brother sent me today an image with it, showing me that he managed to open it.
I can't tell you how happy I am!
The solution: if you encounter the same problem (it takes forever for windows to scan it and you can't open it/ on linux it tells you to go to windows and and properly eject it), just go to `Device Manager` and `Scan for new hardware`. This should find it & solve it3 -
Small things count*
You know how in Android Studio, if you put a string directly into a View's text, it warns you to use resources' strings?
Well if you put there "Hello World", it gives you no warning...
I don't know why, but it made me smile. (Way to go, JetBrains!)

Me: *Showing the "You ! Count" image from devRant to a friend*
Friend: Haha! Nice one!
Me: You should install devRant, the image is from there
Friend: What is devRant?
Me: It's like Twitter, but only for programmers
Friend: No thanks, I don't like Twitter
I have failed you, master!2 -
I have a friend that keeps his phone on "Battery saver" all the time... It's painful to always see that notification with "your phone is on battery saver mode".
He told me he does that because he does not want his battery to empty too soon...
A while ago he refused to use my Micro USB cable because he told me there might be viruses on that cable. ON THE CABLE!!!! Like viruses stored inside a cable that has no memory... A simple cable ( da fcuk? )
The worst part? He's studying computer science :/4 -
I just got a nice 240GB SSD and I'm puzzled by a thing: should I dual boot it with Windows 7 and Linux Arch?
I'm only keeping the windows for the games that "obsesses" me (was thinking of having a small 60GB partition for Windows, since I can barely play any games on my Sony Vaio) and I'm spending the rest of my time programming. But also I would have time for more things if I give up gaming on Windows (like reading, jogging)... I do not know what you do... My heart says Arch only but my mind says Windows also... what would you do? -
I just found out that there is a method in Java/Android called "Log.wtf()" which stands for...
... What a Terrible Failure!
Don't believe me? See for yourselves! (way to go, guys!)9 -
What got you into programming?
For me, it were the games. I was and still am amazed by how games work, from one side of the planet to the other side, how good the visual effects are...2
