IT is so violent and disturbing when it comes to technical terms in relation to clusters:

- master / slave
- master / master / witness (crime scene?)
- splitbrain (how does that look in reality?)
- stonith (shoot the other node in the head)
- deadtime (no heartbeat)
- slicing (wtf?)
- shard (do they kill with that?)
- active / passive (sex scene?)
- single point of failure (at least they know who is to blame)
- share nothing / shared all (dictators vs communism)

😯

"split-brain" Is quite an odd thing but does exist in reality. It was (is?) done in certain case to help patient suffering from epilepsy by severing the connections between the two hemispheres.

I highly suggest watching some videos and reading about it.

So what exactly is your problem with established terminology?

@systemctl none at all, I use them all day in and out. But honestly, when you think in images (normally I do not), it can be disturbing or irritating, at least for non-IT people
