No, as sometimes I work in noisy env and I have a pretty good sound isolating earphones (shure 215 with memory foam tips). Or... I just forgot to turn on the music and enjoyed the silence :)

Nope. I do it when I don't wanna be disturbed. Eyes on the screen, headset on and I can be left alone for hours. If I listen to music it has to be with no lyrics or I get distracted, so sometimes not listening to anything is better.

I often put my headphones on and then forget to put on music for an hour because I get distracted by my work. 😅

Only if I overheard them talking about me 😈

For me it's more like I out the headphones on and then I forget to turn on the music because I'm caught up thinking. The mere gesture of putting them on makes me focus

Isn't that the selling point of noise canceling headphones?

Even I do. I just put earphones and sit. Not that I will be listening to ppl around me talking.....I just get lost in my thoughts.

I once put on my headphones and forgot to plug it into my phone. I was engrossed in playing a game(whose music/sound is disabled) and completed a 1 hour journey without realising.

Best way to show someone you're deliberately ignoring them is to put in headphones, and then when they come try to talk to you, show them the unplugged end and glare at them until they get the point.

No, I've done this many times with the NC on though.

I have also played music while forgetting to switch the bluetooth headphones on, then sat there wondering why I couldn't hear the music while subjecting the office to my questionable taste in music. 😲

No, I also do it. The noise cancellation helps me focus.
