Root797676yA cashier's check is basically a guaranteed check as the bank deducts/holds the funds upon issuing. Here in the states they're dead-simple: present check, show matching ID, receive money.
However, I don't know what added difficulties you might run into since it's international. I'd go with transferwise instead. -

I wouldn't accept checks, what if he had no balance in his account? It is a long way to your money. Either paypal or western union, I wouldn't trust any other payment method when it comes to strangers

jeeper58096yLook up cashiers check scams in the US. There are very few times where this is a good option.
