My guess would be very. Finding replacements is hard enough, I doubt different resolution would even work with the adapter. Unless you're lucky and have a VGA one (but those are rare).

@franga2000 I figure if the LCD connector is the same I should give it a try. I've seen 30 and 40 pins.

Edit: a quick googling tells me that it is possible but highly dangerous.
Take it from me - I messed up a $2k laptop trying to replace the screen -
@jirehstudios Pin count generally doesn't matter. Many manufacturers use existing connectors to save cost but the protocols are very different

I wonder how hard it would be to swap my laptop's 1366x768 LCD for a 1080 one. My model never came with a 1080 option so there's nothing from the manufacturer.
