I don't know what happened to me. I never had a problem not drinking when I didn't want to even though I drank quite a bit at times when I was still a teenager (Yes it annoys me greatly that I'm not considered a teenager anymore btw).

Not even a month in of being 20 and I feel like I have an alcohol addiction after going drinking a few times. What the hell

And I was never drunk. Am I even alive?

Not that it stops me from getting drinking again 🎉

@lamka02sk Depending on how old you are I'd say you kinda did miss something. Like it's stupid but if you ever should do it then probably when you're young

I drink regularly by now.. should take a break for a month at some point.
But I really really love whiskey. So I have a glass sometimes..

    Problem: once I start, I don’t stop..

The weird thing about it is, I’m living in Ireland now and here people say that’s totally normal🤷‍♂️

@just8littleBit How much (or how often rather) do you drink?

I don't know what you guys think but drinking is a weakness imo.

    @orhun Then you've never drank enough ;)

Sure it's a weakness but I'm human. A cheap and easy way to make me happy and I can't stop

Depends on the week. But usually i like to get drunk on a Friday and 2-3 glasses of whiskey during the week. By glasses I mean Normal whiskey glasses, so 35ml or so.
Sometimes I don’t drink anything during the week but Friday is my happy day.

@12bitfloat Yeah it makes sense that way but still, being sober is the best option for me.

@orhun i wouldn’t call it a weekness but definitely a very bad habit..

For me personally it just really helps to forget about work and stuff. I’m thinking about every little thing that ever happened or is happening atm all the time, so I have a few drinks to just relax.

I used to live in paris where every one went out all the time. We started drinking on wednesday night all the way to saturday. I also stuggled through certain break ups where i wouls drink a bittle of wine by myself at night just to take the edge off.

Luckily i also smoke weed and take drugs.

While i used to think it was cool having hang overs i really hate them now. I much prefer having a smoke to relax or a pill when going out. Then i just drink water all night.

But what im really trying to say is, each have their own balance and preferences. What got me to stop drinking was also leaving paris and hence not spending as much time with my really good friends who got pissed all the time (they still do).

Other good way is just to have kids. No going out when baby doesn't sleep ;)

Ultimately. Its not becayse you get drunk at one moment that youll be a drunk all life.

All I ever heard growing up (not from my parents tho, lol) was "drinking is addictive."

All the signs. All the people. School. Television.

And then you start drinking at your first minimum wage job. Slowly at first. Only on the weekend.

And soon, after a year, you wake up and have a half empty bottle of the cheapest vodka ready to go, by your desk, before work, because dealing with 150-200 people a day is exhausting and the only way you can go to work, the only way you can face it, is with a buzz.

And suddenly you realize, while drunk...at work...Oh my god, I'm an alcoholic.

They say it's worse with hard drugs like crack or heroin. You can become addicted quick. And whats bad is you do it once and think "oh hey, I'm not addicted this time. It's not that bad."

And then the VERY next time, second or third time, BAM. Now you ARE addicted.

Addition *really* exists, and you are NOT special and likely NOT immune to it's grip.

@Wisecrack I guess the good news are that I don't think I'm actually addicted, it was a false flag.

Bad news are that I'm drinking again more than I should
