fyroc58758yI've used them all and still haven't found a favorite. Currently I'm using a modified version of Eclipse.
-
@fyroc thanks, although I also use it for regular text and file edition, that's why I not looking for a full IDE.
BTW eclipse rules -
@geronimo same here... when it's a small simple Web app I used Sublime but for more complex Web apps I use WebStorm
-
@jmcaicedo well, I mostly use pycharm, but I'm learning some c++, so I downloaded the trial version of clion. Also tried datagrip, for database management. They are all great, I'd like to buy them all... 😄

Depends. I love atom but I do front end stuff, not sure how it works for more robust languages
-
carlos4188y@scrupulous my Sublime looks just like Atom after a few plugins installed using Package Control. I did need the performance of Sublime but wasn't too fond of their normal look. :P
-
Atom if you don't want a messaging every few saves making you feel bad for being stingy.
Also its flipping awesome -
@jmcaicedo then definitely give atom a try, it's a nice out of the box editor that has a lot of customization opportunities. (Get the Beautify plug in it's a life saver!)
-
I use Atom. It's easily the best looking, excellent packages are available for download, and it's not cluttered with a million features. I really like it. 👍

gkonings4908yVS Code, you might think 'but that's microsoft!' That's true. But the I would say 'get over it'. It's great, give it a try.
-
@zorig I do miss vim, but vim-mode-plus nearly gets Atom up to spec, enough so the convenience outweighs the extra power.
Nearly. I switched to Atom just as I fully grasped buffers. And I miss macros. -
Brackets + Emmet is awesome if you're gonna do HTML and CSS! I prefer Atom for the JavaScript part though ;)
-
Brackets is slow. I switched to VSCode when it first came out and highly recommend it.
-
@spongessuck I used VSCode but it sometimes did some weird things and I didn't like that :(
