You need an adapter to plug your iPhone into the new Macbook Pro 😂

Now if you have an iPhone 7:
you have iPhone headphones that can't be plugged into the MacBook
you have Mac headphones that can't be plugged into the iPhone
you have an iPhone that can't be plugged into the MacBook

Apple have completely lost the plot.

(Typed on an iPhone SE which still has a headphone jack and which was bought because I knew the iPhone 7 wouldn't).

I may be completely wrong. But I feel that without Steve Jobs, Apple is completely useless. Of course, my only comparison is the iPhones and MacBooks that came during his time and during the time I actually paid attention to what Apple was doing.

Simply in terms of iPhones, I have personally disliked all iPhones after the 4S.

I have a late 2013 MacBook pro which I really like. This new update increased the price to add a new gimmick and remove ports. Sadly it's not a pro machine anymore. 😢
Guess I have to go Mint on an XPS

You can use Bluetooth to eliminate the first two problems, but yeah, it's fucking stupid on part of Apple.

Because you totally won't be able to get a USB C lightning cable.

Apple is gonna drop lightning in the next couple of years in favor of USB C, I can just see it

And people say Android fragmentation is bad...

@DoctorDalek The charger wars....finally ending. I hoped my children might see the day, but I never dreamt I'd see it. But maybe there's hope.

Apple has become such a clusterfuck

@DoctorDalek yeah but if you bought a brand new iPhone and brand new Macbook Pro from the apple store at the same time, you can't connect the two via a cable. And you need two different kind of headphones.

I'm usually pro apple but this is silly and could have been resolved with a single usb-a port or including a USB c to lightning cable with the iPhone. Plus the Macbook Pro should of had a lightning port in it so lightning headphones would work with them.

@Yankeesrule why do you think they introduced it on their newest line of laptops (MacBook) and then on their pro line? It's a slow adoption and it really is for the better

Ha ha now the meme time

    Bring in them dongles!!

Damn it! That was one of the best thing about Apple that I loved. Their goddamn ecosystem. Thanks for fucking that up....

@DoctorDalek I'm not denying it's better than usb-a (though I still like magsafe more for the safety aspect). But when apple themselves still sell devices that only come with USB-A cables, you should expect the computer to come with one also.

@uziiuzair I couldn't agree more. I had an iPhone 4s for a while but after that I switched to Android because I didn't like the way Apple was going. Thank God I did.

@LucaScorpion I skipped through all iPhones between 4 and 6s. During that time I was using an Android. But something caught my attention with the 6s which is why I bought it.

I feel that Apple intentionally came up with a bad phone to prepare us for a phone that they will receive in 2017 for their 10 year anniversary.

@uziiuzair My sister has the iPhone 5 (c?). She is an apple fangirl kinda but since the release of the iPhone 7, she is looking for a new android phone.
