Pay or days off?

My goal is a 3 day workday for $ 5500 which is avarage income in switzerland.

Time is the most valuable thing. You only have on avarage 81 years to live. Thats why i look at life backwards from the end to the beginning. Which makes you think twice on accepting boring jobs.

@heyheni I couldn't agree more. I had a very boring job I didn't like but pay was amazing £2,800 after tax etc. But I ditched it for a job in IT support like I used to do as I love it. Now my take home is £1000 a month less but I don't spend my day bored and unlike my other job I have loads of spare time to spend with friends and more importantly my family.

@allanx2000 to me that's a lot, I make less than half that bi-weekly.

@sylar182 hm, maybe location? Things around here are kinda expensive... Especially if my job ain't fun.

Yes it's much but switzerland is one of the most expensive countries in the world. The rent for a 2.5 flat costs about $ 1600. Eating lunch $23.

@heyheni well that's still more and I think Switzerland is pretty nice country? Public health care, good economy, relaxed environment/work.

Can't say the same for NYC/US....

@allanx2000 Flagstaff AZ. I'm a student worker doing part time. I could be making twice as much if I was doing full time. But I sort of value my free time.

@tisaconundrum ah yea student worker. I did that too before, IT support role. Basically make some cash n kill some time?

@allanx2000 yeah. I'm designing a User interface for scientists to use for the Mars Rover. So that's pretty cool.

I think 4 day workweek is doable, make sure that your life is great so you dont have to run away or take extended vacations
