Last year some Salesforce people came to my workplace. My boss was considering building and application with their service.
I was scared shitless when I heard about it. Thankfully it was easy to convince her not to go for it.

@nanobot be the only tech employee. Instead of Salesforce, I offered building it in house with community used tools so getting more programmers wouldn't be an issue. Using Salesforce would be more expensive and nobody wants to code the damn thing. Gave her some evidence from stack overflow too, showing how hated it is by programmers.

Avoid at all costs, crap system, crap docs, crap Indian support who don't understand simple English and run you into circles because they are paid by the Hour. If your boss loves it, leave that company.
