You cannot discriminate against depictions of impossible people. Corporate save art level 9000 is very popular for that reason.

    HOW DO YOU KNOW

Mehh, let them be in their misery. At least, this way it's OBVIOUS they've lost sense of art as anything humane.

That’s what they think of you: small headed, “PoC” only, and easily led/coerced.

I think it's fine for infographics, although in the category of soulless corporate graphics Microsoft's are much nicer.

Why are you not using Vanced or PiHole?

Lol Google doing it now, too? I’ve noticed it first at Apple and find it extremely ugly. 🤢

@Lensflare what. Apple has a completely different 3d emoji art style

    @petergriffin those aren’t emojis.
It may have been last year or so, but at some point in time, Apple had images with that exact style everywhere.

To my own surprise, it’s quite hard to find online but I have found this instead:

The fact that you don't like it doesn't mean that nobody likes it.

The fact that nobody likes it doesn't mean that nobody likes it.

@Lensflare This reminds me of the game Little Nightmares

On the other hand, this isn't really an "art style" in the sense that these aren't meant to be pieces of art. They're infographics. They have a simple message and their role is to deliver that message to people who lack basic reading comprehension like management and HR. Alternatively, they're often used in ads to put something on the screen so you aren't thinking critically about the voice speaking in your ear.

    True man,

Google arts have always been weird

These are the cavewall paintings of our age

I've no strong opinions on the art style, but it's called "Alegria" and was deliberately designed for Facebook to demonstrate some "movement" or action for it's characters, and make them relatively easily to see an "other" in it.

    Copycats quickly followed.

For some years, people had huge heads - now they have tiny heads...

Someone should tell them, that it is fine to not have any images on a web site.

@Oktokolo It doesn’t have to be without images. MS for instance, has pretty normal images on Teams, Devops, Azure, ...
Sometimes the people have no faces on that images (I’ve got a rant about that) but otherwise it’s ok.
