It's so easy to spoof a phone number a child can do it.

You can use the secret generated in the site and get codes from the package.

I don't want to fumble out the phone for each and every website or forum I visit. Even worse if it were one app per website, that would be stupid.

Any platform which forces 2FA goes downhill, solution to spamming is simple, Shadow Ban them if all their posts get downvotes.
