Visual Studio causes Covid!

Well, not really, but it surely disrupts life!

It is a damned shame that a product that promises so much is so flaky!

I have abandoned attempts to use it.

-loses form design
-fails to recognise break points
-changes target configuration on it’s own
-JUST PLAIN SUCKS!!!!
NOT USESBLE

    I fucking can't stand it.

It just gets in the way of good code.

have you ruled out that a component or addon is causing this misbehaviour? I've been using vs for 5+ years, never had a single issue you describe.

@bananaerror I have similar experience and I have been using it since it’s first release and the one called visual interdev before that.

My experience is that microsofts development tools have always been among their most stable products. Remember, they started building basic runtimes and developers have been an important target group through out h their existance.

Sure there have been problems occasionally but very rarely.

And they also hired Anders Hjelsberg that created the turbo pascal editor and compiler, one of the other favorite ide’s :)

I've been using almost as long as @voxera and I don't have the issues the op describes either. This is just another post blaming a perfectly good tool when they have screwed something up. It's like the posts complaining about vs code, when they have added a ton of crappy extensions.
