1. Compiling to JavaScript is just an option, it also compiles to bytecode
2. I find Kotlin syntax nicer

Judging by the weight of their ides, a jb language would need 32g of ram to add two integers

Never EVER talk shit again about JavaFX or Java in general. Developing for Apple platforms is so much pain in the arse, it's unbelievable. Try to get used to scene builder. And maybe get away from that MVC pattern. There are other patterns that fit it better imo. Mvvm is really a good one.

How can you like swing? JavaFX is so much better for me.

I just submitted a coursework for a dashboard application in JavaFX... it was painful, especially when I knew I could make a better app with javascript in a fraction of the time.
