Linux

Would you recommend someone to switch to Linux from Windows 10?

    In one line? Or one sentence?\nBecause I can just escape my new lines forever.\n\nAnd ever...\n\n..And ever, ever...

    It depends on your usecase.

    I would like to switch for my office notebook, but there is software which is not available. (MS Office, 1Password, etc.) This would not be a huge Problem for me, but my team lead have to decide whether he allows me to use Linux as main OS or not.

    But regardless of that my workflow with linux works better. (use it at home for side projects)

    @Cyanite One sentence. One line == one sentence in this case and you're not allowed to escape.

    @DivineInfinity oh.. image doesn't loaded for me on mobile connection.. so I ignored your rule with one line 😅

    @DoktorWer The image's rule doesn't apply to my question. :)

    If it's a gamer. No.

    I would love to swap just for the ease of use, the privacy, the look, everything.

    But guess who has to support Windows.

    Depends.

    As for the image.

    "Perfect OS for the person that knows his ass between a hole in the ground, otherwise use windows"

    @Lilithium i know steam is working on getting games to linux. But at this moment, the support is still poor and still too few games. I just love to click and play when I get home from work, and not run a vm to play games. ;) besides the gaming, i can 't say anything bad about linux...

    I've been using Windows my whole life but recently I have been leaning more towards Linux.

    Not sure why this hasn't been mentioned but I like to dualboot Ubuntu and Windows for games.
  • 1
    @Tychus really? And now your gonna tell me JavaScript is not an OS too 🙄😂
  • 0
    @Gahan Then use Linux in a VM or dual boot

    @gitpush Actually ...

    Just enable Ubuntu Bash? That's all the Linux I need.

    Linux doesn't spy on you.

    @SHA-256 that's exactly what I am doing...
    When I need to qork on Unity, play games or use Photoshop or illustrator I use Windows... Else I always use Linux (Ubuntu)
