@singh029 I personally am a fan of the "renewed" Microsoft brand (and no I'm not a fanboy, I use Linux daily and I use a Macbook)
-
@ruidiasbraga there are lenovo, asus and (my favorite) dell ultrabooks that match (if not exceed) the quality of the surface for a lower price. @liammartens dont tell me other laptop brands have poor build quality please
-
@RazorSh4rk I never implied other brands have crappy laptops, but either way your initial comment is a little under researched in my opinion. Of course there is a fair amount of brand pay here but for half the price (being 500$) you can not get this type of build. For the same price sure and more powerful also sure but it's about the whole picture.

Looks great, probably will feel great. But, Windows S and 4GB of ram for $999 seems wrong
-
Okay! Here i go.
[By ignoring all the windows hate comments]
The laptop looks fantastic. I think running only apps from the windows store could be weird.[ And also i was not able to find the graphics spec.] Other than that everything is pretty awesome. -
@RazorSh4rk first off the XPS 12 9250 is over a year old now so it is kind of obvious that it is hitting the 600$ price point at this time. Secondly you are throwing in a laptop which is inherently weaker than the Surface Laptop now so the comparison doesn't really match up. Compare it to an ultrabook that was released in the past 6 months.

@liammartens soz but i dont really have time to dig around for ultrabooks, i got mine for 500 last year, and surface is not 1k, its 1.5k, what makes it more expensive than a macbook of the same hardware
-
@RazorSh4rk that's actually false, it starts at 999 :P and I know this is not for everyone and it's probably not for you neither will I ever buy it. (but it still looks slick as hell and I can see where it would fit in)
-
$999 for 4g ram & 128 ssd!!!
There're many ultrabooks with higher specs at the same price range or less. -
@liammartens i wanted to add more info to my own comment. But didn't want to edit the previous post. Also didn't want to scroll to the OP. Hence replied to myself. Yeah I'm lazy.
