some may argue with this advice, but apply anyways. what's the worst they can do, call you for an interview? You already don't have the job, it can't hurt!

I should have added:
My current job lists a degree as a requirement or equivalent experience. I never finished my degree and only had 1.5 years experience when I started. getting the interview is the hardest part, but a lot of times they list loose requirements.
