My neighbors are absolute assholes.

I can't get enough sleep. This is driving me nuts. Worst of all, they're all students. I've called the cops on them once, but still the same behavior.
Am about to lose it, ngl.

Send one of your robots on them

@electrineer got none at home โ˜น๏ธ

@Archive sounds like it was a love triangle after all if your robots have left you
  • 3
@electrineer no, they have their own place of residence. ๐Ÿ˜ I'm teaching them to be independent.

Use wax earplugs? It cuts me off from the world- annoying neighbor kids trampling the floor or music from them.

I have had your problems but right this sec I'd trade. Wanna trade ?

@aviophile ever find yourself training a scope mounted on an illegally bought and owned sniper rifle on them ? Could picture that

@AvatarOfKaine not sure. What's your baggage?

Just wanted to let you know that the airplay-ng suite is free, that a de authentication attack can be very simple to perform without necessarily completing the attack, and the internet connections shut down while doing it.

Jjjjjjust in case there is loud music involved which usually comes from someone streaming shit through their phones. Just saying.

Other than that, gun range ear protection, shit helps me when my loud ass neighbors start their shit. I hate people like that.

Also wind machines help a lot too

Just play metal songs and start a fight about who is louder

I've heard from friend death metal is very good for something like this :D

Tried talking to them? I mean literally knocking on their door and asking to quiet down, bcz it's late?

I know it sounds trivial. But nowadays social distancing has gone so far that we don't even bother to walk those few steps and ask someone simply not to do something - instead we use indirect force, setting legal actions on them.

Don't like the noise? Should you knock on the door and ask to quiet down? Naah, better call police instead.
Someone scratched your porche? Should you ask them to pay for/do the paint job [yk, in case they didn't know who's the owner when it happened]? Naah, better sue them and destroy their lives.

We've forgotten how to talk to each other.

I have asked them to be less noisy, but the issue is actually the building. I can block out sound through earplugs, but what I can't block out, is that they, for example, bang the main door so hard every time, that my bed takes a swing. Or that they walk around like horses, and it actually gives me anxiety as it feels like soldiers marching outside my door. Or that they like music with such a base that it shakes the floors.
And I can't move at this point, because this is the best option for my budget.

@Archive Sounds like a warzone where you live.

Horses, soldiers, loud bangs shaking the ground...

Damn, I know it is hard. And this kind of people do not care about you. I got similar neighbors. Luckly they moved away now.

@AvatarOfKaine i am more of a sleep gas guy.

    Send them a written warning.
If it doest work, get the loudest speaker, you can get and play a 50hz sine wave into their direction. The closer the better.

If you have some days for vacation left, take it, and leave the speaker play that over the whole vacation, and go somewhere else.

It is very effective in telling them a lesson.

Most of the ways you guys are suggesting just ends in me getting arrested! ๐Ÿคจ๐Ÿ˜’๐Ÿ˜’

    Earplugs are the solution
  • 2
@Archive then you get to sleep away from your neighbours
  • 0
@aviophile could picture that too bert

    I can only suggest
    “Experience pro” noise cancelling earbuds!

I’ve got very sensible eyesight and ears, so I bought them both for when I get the all-too-common migraines from watching the screen too much and for when I go to concerts (they have 2 modes: noise suppression and noise attenuation). They gave me some good nights of sleep when there were people making noise outside!

I swear I’m not a sales bot from the earbud’s company… I just realised my last comment sounded a lot like a sales pitch, lol

If it happens too often, make a list and complain (in written form) to your landlord. Note that you tried to resolve it with them, but their behavior didn't change. Depending on your local laws you might be able to reduce the rent if it doesn't improve, but I'd suggest not taking out that hammer the first time you contact the landlord about this issue.

@green-portal you have a career in spec-ops or terrorism.

    I can feel it.

    You're going places.

Like to foreign countries to burn shit.
  • 2
@unicornhunter could work, but I'm in Germany. Calling the cops works better, and the only thing they were armed with were notebooks. ¯\_(ใƒ„)_/¯

Yeah I would recommend not being a narc
  • 1
@phat-lasagna I wouldn't. You can't just live with savages and village kids who don't know how to behave themselves in a city.
