JS, because as of today that single language can run on the browser, server, Android, iOS, Windows, Mac, Linux, etc. You can make websites, server side code, desktop or mobile applications, with one language. It's also growing in the field or web scrapping and Machine Learning.

No, PHP. PHP is easy to learn, and, although many people complain about it, works fine. With PHP you can easily use other languages with it, I like to use Java + PHP.
