Been getting a lot of troll / clown / clueless (?) comments on my posts recently. Select favorites include:

"Why do you have a login form on your website?" wut
"Why didn't you throw away that API key?" wut
"Why do you even need to access your apps' servers?" wut

There are just SO many amazing devs here who have NEVER had do any of those things, I'm quite literally an idiot and don't know what I'm doing, sorry for my ignorance. I'd forgotten that there is only exactly one way to build software, I wish I'd done it "that" way sooner! Foolish me.

Really not sure if trolls, clowns, or clueless. Don't care. 🤡🤡🤡

    I learned something valuable this other day.

    A developer that has never touched Enterprise and a developer that knows how to tackle Enterprise are two completely different mindsets and both think the other one does things in a stupid way.

    @iSwimInTheC there is not much to elaborate. I think most of us have written software for enterprise and also some free or open source personal stuff.
    And I’m sure that we don’t see those as completely different. We approach them in the same way, with the same tools that we prefer.
    The burden to provide evidence for a weird claim is not on my side.

    This came from my team lead and thinking back on my experience I thought "yes, you are right".

    We need a devrant mini game where people can do 2D fighting game to sock each other for the hell of it. I think it would help relieve the tension here sometimes. devpunch minigame?

    yeah devrant can be annoying.
    on so many rants people comment to disagree which makes no sense since there often isn't even enough context for it

    I mean I like the discussions and different opinions but some comments just jump to conclusions to be able to disagree
