I don't see how that is an unpopular opinion. From my point of view it seems most people believe that. In this regard, the tech industry is just as the rest of humanity (especially the west).

I'm sorry if I've done something wrong. Is there anything specific that made you think that? Please let me know so I can improve my performance. -
Companies with more money than they know what to do with throwing benjamins of the the window to try getting in on the ground floor of the next big hype

Unpopular opinion:
"Unpopular opinions" are just click bait and not actually unpopular. -

As an AI language model, I can assist in generating prompts for various purposes. However, the job of a prompt engineer typically involves more complex tasks such as designing and implementing software-based prompts for interactive systems.
While I can assist with tasks such as natural language processing and machine learning, creating and implementing prompts that meet specific requirements and work within a given system requires more specialized skills and training.
Therefore, while I can certainly assist with certain aspects of prompt engineering, I cannot fully replace the skills and expertise of a human prompt engineer. -
Click bait at its finest.
Remember that if a job pays extremely well it usually is not for the best reasons.
More likely the worst.
As a manager, you're paid highly so you shut down the moral and ethic support systems and keep quiet.
As a dev, usually to ignore the exploitation and thus degradation of health.
There is usually no "well paid job" without a downside.
... And be it just that rent eats up 3/4 of your loan cause otherwise you'd have to travel each day 4 hours to get to work and come back. -
@kiki After waiting for (many) years to be admitted to university you do many years of rote memorization to pass. Then you do lots of night shifts and on-call and realize that the working conditions kinda suck. You decide to start woodworking instead.

amoux2682yI stopped working on the “DL” side of NLP after the ChatGPT hype. It's the only thing people talk about, tweet about, write about, bitch about (this does not include all my algorithm-optimized recommendations; “How to get rich with ChatGPT” “AI will replace X, this is why you should be scared”). The NLP community is full of NPCs now.
