With all our tech achievements, ai, ml, chatgpt, etc... Do you thing a completely automated future is possible? Automated agriculture, industry, healthcare,... Do you think we will still have finances/currency of any kind? If so - why? And how would we earn them if labour is no longer required [apart from ai/ml engineers]?

Do you ever imagine humanity ever reaching this fully robots-based future?

technically speaking it's possible. I mean, why not?

There are things like politics and decreasing human intelligence that will most likely prevent it, but let us just take that aside and imagine us humans would be competent.

So what happens if humanity reaches that state?

There will be an increasing number of humans. In the long run, our planet will go out of resources. Even if we manage to get that food thing managed, there will be issues in terms of space and rare metals and things like that. It's just a scaling issue.

Would need to manage terraforming until then and do some interplanentary shit.

There's a saying that an idiot can come up with a question not even a genius can answer. We can solve and automate practical problems, but we could never solve or automate all the dumb things people will come up with.

I think this is inevitable. Just a matter of time. It can be a long time and when humanity is still around and not back into the stone age, I’m sure that it will happen.

It might also come with some downsides like we are completely controlled by the AI that decides what’s good for us.
