Ever wondered where did ಠ_ಠ come from? It's from my native language called Kannada. ಠ is pronounced as Ta

    @AlexDeLarge Kannada is a separate language. Those ~20 are constitutionally recognised languages. Other than that, people speak like a thousand languages.

    @shb743 I'm currently in Bangalore. Not a native Bangalorean though.

    I believe it's actually spelled Canada*

    @simpleJack it's not that simple

    Where did you get that from ?

    So that and an underscore. Would that mean it's pronounced Ta_Ta? 😂

    @codepoet I'm in Bangalore and not from Bangalore too 😋
    Also google keyboard has an excellent option of typing in English and converting to Kannada.

    @tilde I've been using K.P.Rao/Nudi layout for years and I'm very familiar with it. So, I use JustKannada keyboard on Android.

    @CallMeAny which keyboard? Go has it, as do a few others

    Not sure why it didn't attach

    @CallMeAny you got umlauts on Fleksy? How?

    @1989 I had created an IME for Windows and mapped keys as follows,
    ta (ಟ), Ta(ಠ), da(ಡ), Da(ಢ), Na(ಣ),
    tha(ತ), Tha(ಥ), dha(ದ), Dha(ಧ), na(ನ)
    Then I switched to KaGaPa/Nudi/K.P.Rao layout since it requires less key strokes to get each letter/word. That layout is phonetically not correct as "q" produces "ಟ" and "w" gets you "ಡ". But it is much quicker to type once you get used to it

    On a related note, have you ever wondered where ღ and ლ come from? The letters can often be seen on smileys outside of their usual usage. They are letters in Georgian language. ღ is pronounced like the French „R/r“ and ლ is a plain L/l. ღ is often likened to a heart and ლ to a wing, so in case of smileys, they are used that way.

    @kabhishek
    ಒಂದುವೇಳೆ(a > b) {
    ತೋರಿಸು("%d ದೊಡ್ಡದು", a);
    }
    ಅಲ್ಲದಿದ್ದರೆ {
    ತೋರಿಸು("%d ದೊಡ್ಡದು", b);
    }

    @CozyPlanes

    It is, but I personally prefer sharp fantasy-style lettering. Though, that's obviously a personal preference.

    @CozyPlanes

    I'm thinking about creating my own style of handwriting thats unique to me, inspired by fantasy witchcraft-like lettering. :3

    I might even turn it into a font~

    @AlexDeLarge

    It would just be a fantasy play on english characters for me to use in everyday life (and my signature).

    @codepoet Kannada, Malayalam, Telugu are all just derivatives of Tamil
