devCraft {
Closing the minecraft server for a little while!
I'll be adding mods, writing up a perms file, and hosting the pack on git! I'll post a rant with the repo link.
One of our lovely ranters offered a VM to host the server on, so the ip is probably gonna change as well! (i also gotta make an arch bootable USB, and running the server would slow that down lol)
i'll notify you all once it's donevia a rant, like i said. until then, formulate plans, and suggest some developer-related mods for me to add in! (must be 1.7.10)
Currently planned mods are:
- ComputerCraft
- Applied Energistics
- Buildcraft
- Project Red
and a few from whatever you guys suggest. see you then!

    @DLMousey if we go full FTB it will be a lot harder to run, even impossible for some. I say keep it quite light (<25 mods)

    I would say some sort of terra mods. There are some that generate beautiful landscapes without adding new blocks/items~ (this also means that the players don't have to install them)

    I might hop on with the lovely @alice after my internet quits shitting itself, if she's up for it~

    @affanshahid the plan was to have a semi-devrant-driven modpack. @AlgoRythm suggested community developed plugins, which i found to be a really neat idea

    I just preped the VM, the only thing missing is @ParkCity's public key for authentiication - everything else is Setup. (I messed up on that PK two days ago)

    Also: Dang, I just wanted to Play a bit :(

    @affanshahid afaik not yet, but i've got a TS3 Server running from the good old days, this one can be used.

    BTW: I would love to see some live server stats with a self written plugin - and a livemap.

    The Server looks quite stable at the Moment. I just checked, even with a large TNT Explosion of 10 stacks I didn't get more than 15% CPU usage and 30 % mem usage. RAM will be a bit different with additional mods but I've still got about 5GB Ram in reserve on the server.

    Edit: TS3 is set up as well.

    Well my nightshift starts in 5 hours - but feel free to play around - but keep in mind that this world is just temporary untill @parkcity has uploaded the original server stuff.

    @dsteiner agh, yeah - just wiped my laptop and installed v arch. i won't be able to get you a public key until sometime tonight (after 6pm PST). shoot me a message on the number i gave you so i can deliver it that way :0

    monday - thursday: not home 'til around 6:00 PM;
    friday: not home 'til 2:15 PM;
    saturday: totally free;
    sunday: not home 'till 1:00 PM;

    If everything goes alright @ParkCity is going to migrate the devcraft server to my VM later today/this night. We will post an update a bit later when the migration is done and the server is up again!

    @PrivateGER you can join me and fiddle a bit around on the interim server. @ParkCity just told me that he will be available in about 7 hours - that means that the server should be online again at about 11-12 PM (GMT)

    Just so that you guys also know it (in case you didn't subscribe to the original post) the server is now up again and running at devcraft.ml - you can grab the modpack or a custom launcher (based on sk89q's (the creator of worldedit) launcher) - the launcher will automatically update the modpack in case of an update.

    The serveraddress now is devcraft.ml as well.

    @epse thanks. The site will be updated soon anyway with the correct info of the server. At the moment it's just a damn old.site I put together from a free template.some.time.ago since freenom cancels your domains if there is no website
