my previous boss once told me [ ] array initializing syntax will be depricated in php 7 (few years ago) so i should only use array() instead.

couple months back after i got used to always using the latter i found out the first was never depricated but he just prefered how array() looks

Stuff is so rapidly depricated in javascript that you always have to add current year in Google searches to find something relevant.

We have huuuge fuckups today with our Frontend regarding deprecated npm modules.
All of my Frontend colleagues are whining because the Jenkins build is failing.
I looked into it, there were missing dependencys that could not be found anymore.
Frontendcolleagues don’t want to do anything because it’s a „Devop problem“.
Fuck my fucking life.

i really dislike inheriting depricated projects😓.
really wanted to use angular 2 for current project but our hosting server is outdated and nodejs wont run on it.
realy wish we could update the server, but doing this would break 10 older sites we are being paid to host .

any ideas?

Downside of working with Angular2 today: a lot of online articles are written for depricated beta version or release candidates.

Upside: The official documentation is among the best I've seen

In my current job, I feel like I'm not learning much as it like I'm stuck. I also want to work at Google, which has been a childhood dream of mine. Additionally, my upper management promote on using GPT to write code which I feel like it's not a good thing as a younger professional seems like my development skills is depricated. The worst part is that I'm unable to allocate time to learn new things on my own. I want to leave this job to focus on practicing my development skills through popular open-source projects, and by doing LeetCode and Codeforces. However, I'm afraid to take decision because of the current tech job market.
To all senior developers and engineers, I would appreciate your valuable advice. Please help me as if I were your younger brother!
