Lack of Tuple destructuring in argument specification. Tuples were added, and pattern matching was added, and it's been getting better. The gear grinding starts with how Tuple identity assignment in arguments is handled. Rather than destructuring into the current scope, it coalesces the identity specification into a dot property of whatever the argument name is. This seems like an afterthought given they have ootb support for ignore characters.

Typescript
This will probably be remedied in the next version or two, but Tuple identity forwarding between anonymous scopes normalizes to arrays of union types, because tuples compile to typeless arrays. It's irritating because you end up having to restate the type metadata in functional series even when there is no possibility for any other code branch to have occurred.

Before I left my other company I was in the midst of finishing one project and I was ansious to finish everything to leave as a rockstar. Now, one of my js scripts brought a huge and long json response that had many nested items and arrays and whatnot. Instead of properly destructuring or finding a particular piece that went similarly to "status": "Verify input"(that was nested unser a shitload of items) i did the unspeakable......i stringified the whole object and just used indexOf.

I still feel guilty over it...but it works :P thing is, if it returns that it means that the user entered an invalid status into the app (it was an inventory application) but it works :P

Oh well. Mind you they thought it was going to take months and I finished in 1 week so yay.

People who use destructuring assignment EVERYWHERE; why you do this to me?

In most cases it does not even reduce code length. Like

{ field } = object
save(field)

Why no just type

save(object.field)

Tis' hard to understand

Destructuring nullable fields in GraphQL is a pain in the ass.

The webpack production mode can't even recognize destructuring. It can only naively replace literal occurrence of process.env.NODE_ENV.

What is this? A f'ing template engine?
