In my office there's a dev who regularly takes figurative shits on other devs — stuff like publicly shaming others for their mistakes, or dropping a conceited "I told you so" whenever his solution turned out to be the right one.

He's a young guy, still has lots to learn about office etiquette, and I know he usually means well (he privately apologized to me once after I told him to fuck off), but I'm not sure he knows of the effect it's having on the other devs he talks down to.

I like him enough that I don't want to go to HR about it, but I don't know how to approach the situation in a one-on-one level with this guy. I do know that something needs to happen, but I'm not sure how I can help the situation.

For now, he shuts up when I point out his flaws in logic and reveal that he's still got lots to learn about his demeanor.

The Cup Saga
My cause is valiant. My warrior's hearts were true... And quite frankly we are sorry if we have offended you.

Background: been missing my favourite cup at the office. I brought said cup from home like many of the devs do, we have our preferences you know? For 3 weeks I have been drinking mediocre coffee and the endless quest for my cup perused... I couldn't find it.. It was just missing.... Where could my trusty cup have gone... Its been with me since my second job in 2014, and its gotten me through so many late nights and early mornings, the reward of the perfect ratio... Turns out... Someone took it because... Well they liked it and habe been holding on to it ever since.... Why? No one really knows.. But I have my cup... And I intend to guard it... Since unlike the other cups it cannot be left in the cupboard.. It has to be defended.... Valiantly we recovered the cup... And tirelessly we will guard it now.. Sweet cup of mine...

When you spend months conditioning certain employees to send out everyone@ emails by BCC but someone stilll insists on opening the notification floodgates by replying to all by CC anyway...

My home office, I have my own room for it, when I wanna take a break I can go and make meself some nice coffee. I can also have the TV on playing something for background noise, it helps me more than music for whatever reason. Mainly the office (which according to me I have seen that show about 40 times already)

This is why I really enjoyed the pandemic, but I realize that saying such things sound harsh.

The best fucking part of it? I get to use my own fucking clean restroom. I fucking hate public restrooms or having to share them with strangers because for whatever reason it seems that most people around the world do not have general etiquette when using restrooms.
I have seen some shit that has left me so fucking confused it ain't even funny. Second best part: no fucking commute.

My colleagues desk is so messy that they have actually started to expand their mess onto neighbouring desks...

Their gym clothes are currently on the desk next to me which is actually behind them!

My obsessive tidyness can't take this!
