I pulled a lot of all nighter when I was in university, it was so easy. But its been couple years and I don’t even remember how I did it.
1. More experience in programming to reach the next level!
2. A job in the USA!
3. Will leave it for a complicated bug to wish it be fixed lol5
First day of new year, first day of relaxing until my new job starts .. Plan to travel and not code for awhile!2
My goals are:
1. Start my new job in Feb.
2. Overcome the challenges I will face in the new environment.
3. Learn, learn, learn
4. Don’t forget to rest.2
I have been working on a project for at least the last 2 months, during the development I resigned “last week”, but continued to work on it and finished it on time. Now, they want to the new dev to present the demo and I am not even invited to the demo.
Oh, please tell how he will present when he only have one day to understand the system? Or how he will able to answer their questions?6
That one line of code that you know the logic of it and you know what is causing the error, but you can’t fix it!3
That moment when you find the easiest part of the task you need to do is the one you are struggling with!
I have couple dev ambitions some of them are:
- to become better in what I am doing and get a higher position.
- to build my own product.
- to educate young programmers.
Oh, my ex-senior wrote some code for uploading files in his last project lets use it! It will be easier!
Discover it has a bug and spent couple hours to fix it!1
I had a long dream about code .. I woke up serval times and still continued the same dream and continued coding didn’t and I didn’t finish it when I finally woke up.
I don’t know what the code does, and I never run it in the dream!!
Happy Monday I guess
I was filling a questionnaire through SAP Ariba ..
The loading time, the way you can upload files. The tree structure of the questionnaire, and their date picker. Everything is perfect no struggle with it at all.
PS: I spent about 2 hours filling it and I am not done yet!
Last week I got a call I thought it was a screen interview, but turned to be a technical interview for a job I probably applied for back in 2015.
Today, I got a call for face to face HR interview next week which is going to be in the middle of the day and the company is about 1 hour away from my home/work.
Right now, I am feeling good at my current company. Nice salary, only me and manager but we are hiring, and its close from home.
The other company, is a bigger company, salary is unknown, and working hours are less but if you count driving hours it will be much longer! And work will be related with SharePoint “0 Experience” and Web Developments.
PS: Both companies aren’t tech companies!
Even tho I am happy here, I have this thing inside me that asks me to change jobs and challenge myself learning about new technologies “Or technologies I have never worked with”!
However, If keep doing this I won’t settle and If I find myself stuck at a job I hate and try to move to other companies, they won’t hire me because I keep moving!
I hate overthinking these stuff,
and just need to get it off my shoulders!1
Anyone is going to be participate in the Space Apps Challenge 2018?
Its going to be my first Hackathon :)2
!Dev, !Rant, but Design!
Young me was a very productive and artistic, I guess! I just found a drawing I made couple years ago using Illustrator. I think I was just starting to learn it by that time. Anyways, I just want to share it with you guys lol
Couple days ago, I started working on online IDE using https://ace.c9.io/ .. All the functions they have are good, but documentation wasn't that good and I had to learn things by my own. I customized a theme for it to look more like atom lol, added snippet menus and some other stuff, but thinking about it the reason I started is that i saw Thimble by Mozilla and felt jealous because it looks so cool, and I want to make some thing like it.8
This afternoon called Internet Provider because the internet was’t working. They fixed it, good.
Few hours later, the phone line is not working. So, called them to fixed. They both internet and phone line, and they claim its an issue from their systems. WTF! What kind of shitty software are you using.
Now I am transferred to third level of support in order to fix this problem! And I have to wait for them to call me2
When in the screening phone call the HR guy tells you will be using AngularJS. So, you brain like .. ok this is a good reason for you to learn it.
Now I can’t wait to do all the courses online to learn AngularJS lol8
I worked for 18 hours to complete my final JQuery project in University and deadline was in 24 hours.
PS: I got an A, no + because they don't use it.3
Just started reading this book ..
The first chapter and half are pretty interesting.
Their explication of Optimal Stopping and “The Secretary Problem” made think about scenarios where its possible to use in my life.
Ps: I think that what the books wanted!4
Going to work after a short holiday is like trying to start your old PC.
It refuse to start > starts slow > needs updates.
On Holiday break from work, and get a morning email to do some freelancing. Yeah, sure i !will do it today.
Everything looks easy in .NET MVC, but making it generate a checkbox list for you is so damn complicated.4
Recruiter: Why makes you leave a company?
Me: When the company don't appreciate their employees, when I have to develop a small system for them and they never use it. when they try to give me the calm down needle.
Recruiter: what is the calm down needle?
Me: It's when I come with an issue i am facing and you tell me you will fix it, and promise me its gonna happen and never do it.
Me: "Keep Talking" When you promise some employee and you are not able to deliver your promise .. well, Its just better if you didn't promise him!
Recruiter: Ok, "next question"
Damn I feel like I was so mad and my answer were straight forward with no bullshit. I think I scared her.1
Not sure if someone reported this or not ..
But after I post my rant, and try to write new one .. I find my previous rant already there with the tags.
It might be a bug in the autosave2
