When you give production access to the intern

For those of you who are living in the US or the UK :

For a penultimate year student, what internships would you say makes more sense : 6months off-cycle or 2-3 months summer internship?

Asking because I need to convince my shitty French Uni

I hate electronics but I picked the only CS degree in my country with a strong focus on it.

Any tips on how to stop hating hardware engineering? I have an exam tomorrow and every line I study makes me throw up in my mouth a little

Did that ever happen to you guys? Like you just write a huge pile of code, you look at it, you're proud, but it ends up not working because you forgot one little thing that makes it completely incorrect?

I just finished watching bandersnatch. God in the beginning I indentified so much with the main character.

So it's been at least one year since my Lenovo Y520 (bought about 18months ago) has been throttling its i5 at 800Mhz for no reason.
The thing was so fucking slow, you can't even imagine.

A few months back I found why: the fucking processor raised a PROCHOT flag constantly, even though it never exceeded 60°C.

So now, everytime I boot my computer, I have to run a fucking script to reset this fucking flag. Seriously Lenovo, what the fuck?

So I just got offered an internship at my dream company in London. The programme sounds super nice, it looks like I'll learn a ton of stuff, and it's super well paid.

BUT MY FUCKING USELESS UNIVERSITY WON'T LET ME GO BECAUSE THEY WANT AT LEAST 4 MONTHS LONG INTERNSHIPS AND THIS ONE IS SUMMER ONLY. I just hate that fucking school, it's the opportunity of my dreams but they won't let me go because of some stupid rule..
