I work for a bank and every production release date it's a chaos... Like, for real, devs running to get their stories approved by the testing team and last minute scope changes that, if not made, would make the whole app fail (real shitty management as you can see).
Longstoryshort, a dev didn't finished one of his stories and create 7 major bugs with another... Today that was my breakfast, took me 4 hours and get it all done and approved... We didn't make the release tho, but I scored some major points with this.
Funny thing, tomorrow I'm telling my PM I'll leave the company for a better job, so that will be their breakfast.6 -
HR girl sent a generic email with the job description and benefits of the company but forgot to set it as BCC.
Not 3 minutes passed that all the 73 recipients of the mail (me inlcuded) start replying to all making jokes about it, ranting about HR in general.
An hour later we created a Facebook page called "not-BCC guys" where we keep us posted about opening positions in our companies to bypass future HR hunting interactions.1 -
[PM] - "Hey, <that guy> is joining our team for the next 6 sprints"
[Me] - "Really?, <that guy>? You want bugs? Cos' that's how you get bugs"1 -
So I found myself explaining to my rubber duck all the things I've done wrong in my past relationships...
What? It's a great guy, I shouldn't limit it just to code issues, I have a life it could fix too4 -
Am I the only one who tries to learn several things at the same time but never finishes any of them.7

Dev companies, please, stop trying to force proxies to your devs... you just make us waste more time figuring out how to avoid it rather than working as we really want.

If I'd have a dollar each time someone said to me: "ohhhhh you are programmer? So you could get me the Facebook password of someone?", I would have retired 5 years ago.4
