This laptop at CES has a dedicated .com button, would this be useful? 🤔

    Not for me. Smashing the name into a search engine window is faster than typing full adresses.

    I type at 70 wpm. Given its placement it'd be quicker for me to just type it normally. But for normal folk that use a laptop for Facebook, email and maybe office, can't touch type, then maybe.

    Firefox automatically puts .com after the address if you press ctrl+enter

    Nah, too many .org or .net, better type it

    Maybe a shortcut for Ctrl+enter?
    Otherwise it is useless

    @lazyDev *most browsers; the developers of Safari decided that having a shortcut to automatically add '.com' is stupid.

    Totally pointless IMO unless someone types .com more than 1000 times a day in a non browser environment and using custom keyboard marcos or hotkeys is not saving them enough time.

    No. And stop putting the shift key to the left of the up arrow key. It drives me nuts

    It takes like .0167 seconds to type .com

    When you type like 120 wpm this is useless af

    Only until .xxx becomes more popular.

    @CWins or press ctrl+enter

    Well, guess it is not really useful for the average Dutch user I guess as most sites have a .nl-domain.

    @SoulSkrix as it should be

    No. Typing .com is so deeply engraved into my muscle memory that it takes less than 0.1s to type lol.
