Story.
Did you know logging into chrome will auto sync all your fucking bookmarks to that other person's account??
I DIDN'T!!
(I use Firefox mainly and chromium for testing.)
I use chrome only for porn. Got shit tons of bookmarks. I login to my friend's sister Gmail on my chrome(for remote desktop - to help fix her computer. Somehow,remote desktop doesn't work on chromium)
Was browsing her pc via remote session and suddenly all of my porn bookmarks appear at the top bar.)
Had to manually select each bookmark in the bookmark manager and delete since CTRL+A won't work during the remote session. Don't know why.

    Hahahaha, I had this too but worse. I logged in on the family computer with chrome at a friends home and all their passwords synced to my account even porn sites. And I could see them.

    #1 - Don't log into Chrome
    #2 - DON'T BOOKMARK PORN.

    Pretty simple, IMO. And Incognito exists for a reason...

    Did you tell your friend about it? Or you just secretly removed the keys?
    I only thought shit like these would happen only in comedy sitcoms until this happened to me today. 😂

    @mgagemorgan I was trying to use chromium but spent about half an hour figuring out why remote desktop is not working. So, I just "meh,use Google chrome."
    Those bookmarks are precious. Years of crawling through the web. I really should use some other way to save the links. 😂

    Did you know when logging into to Chrome, there is an option to manage Sync Settings to make sure no crap is synced? 👀

    The common thing is to hide porn from your computer, but to bookmark it! this is some next level shit. I mean what's the next step? A desktop shortcut?

    Ask him/her if the pron bookmarks are his/hers and otherwise a scan for viruses might be needed.
    Be confident and put the problem in his/her hands.

    Yes, but only if you login to the browser itself. Reference the name in the top right of the window.

    When you log into Chrome, a dialog will pop up asking if you want to sync or not. It will only sync if you press the "Link Data" button...

    Also, why login to Chrome while remoting in? Logging into Gmail and logging into Chrome are two completely separate actions.

    People bookmark porn??

    Am I the only one that copies the url, paste it in a password protected document, change the icon, and labels it “ransomware strain - DON’T OPEN”? 🤣

    @SoulSkrix I also like opera because they show you previews in the bookmarks window. You can choose any image detected from the webpage as the preview.

    Chrome implemented the same feature a while back with the updated bookmark system. People complained too much and they restored the old (current) system and offered the new system as a extension.

    @AnonyOps I have a note in Google Keep with links to porn, every single one commented for easy searching - the only problem is I have to make sure not to scroll too far down when I have Google Keep open on my secondary screen (the note is at the bottom)

    This is exactly why I have to constantly remind myself "Don't sign into Chrome on your work machine, don't sign into Chrome on your work machine..." 😂

    TL; DR for comments if someone has already mentioned but use incognito mode for logging in other's account or computer
