PMs always think meetings will make devs work faster.

That's just insane. Maybe a 15 minutes meeting just to make sure everyone is on the same page. But no more than that.

It's well documented that a meeting with a greater duration than sixty minutes loses the attention of the attendees.

In situations like these, I just don't attend. If my presence is mandatory, I ask to reschedule the meeting or the dead line, but you can't have both.
