Just came home from the cinema in zurich switzerland where Samsung installed the largest 4K LED TV. Yes that's not a textile canvas in the picture, it's a wall of led tiles called Samsung ONYX. It's a real pleasure to look at. High contrasts and brilliant color. I'm in love 😍

    Imagine programming on that thing! 😄

    "Stretching nearly 10.3m (33.8ft) wide and 5.4m (17.7ft) in height, and featuring nearly 9 million pixels"

    @heyheni DCI 4k is ~9M pixels. So a screen that big with that resolution (probably 4096x2160) isnt that impressive imo. Dells 8k 27" is way cooler.

    @olback haha 😆
    yes, shenzhen based manufacturer for out of home advertisment LED offer screens with diode gaps less than a milimeter. So I can absolutely see that 8k resolution led cinema screens will come in the next 2 years.
    But first it needs movies to be shoot in 8K.

    @heyheni they already filming in 8k, at least scenes that will be used in CGI

    @Rozz true! The RED Helium camera shoots 8k+ and was used in "The guardians of the galaxy 2".
    Do you have any involvement in the movie business? 😃
