There's already the GPD Win 2, double the RAM, newer processor, kinda nicer keyboard.
-
Yep, but it's quite expensive for what it offers. Unless portability is your main concern.
-
I already knew them, but I rather have a 15.6" laptop with me... generally more power + faster typing...

ODXT32837yGot one, installed Ubuntu on it.
Still haven't completely set that up though. The screen resolution and orientation are still messed up. Also, the wifi won't work. -
@iKameo Depending on the use, the average I've managed to pump out of it (my friend owns one) was ~4 hours.
This was while playing some "heavier" (in perspective of this machine) games like "Diablo 3" and FlyFF at 720p with the settings all on "low".
This did get me an average FPS of around 40-50 with the occasional drops to below 20 (depending on how much I was power farming)
EDIT: this was for the GPD Win (not the GPD Win 2) -
@gashadokuro just openup the source view and you see some Google stuff around :p
Probably been watching us -
qdsp1317687y@zlice Its not too big, about the size of a 3DS XL. And yeah, I've heard of the other ones with Arm processors, but why bother? Just use a phone.
-
@zlice I'd steer clear of the Gemini. Company shares a director wth the Vega+.
I've got a GPD Win. Bricked it trying to SLIC mod the BIOS so I could install "genuine dodgy" W7 and upgrade that to W10 Pro rather than Home that it comes with. -
qdsp1317687y@ODXT Yeah, Linux distros never really work right on the thing. Best setup I saw was Arch with everything working except WiFi (I think). Android works well on it though apparently. Linux isn't really a great choice though, considering this is mainly focused as a gaming device.

Wozza638687yLook at LowSpecGamer on YouTube if you want help getting games running on this thing. He's done a few videos on it.

Anyone else heard of this cool little device? (GPD Win, an obscure Chinese computer that is like a Nintendo DS but it has an x64 processor and runs full windows 10)
