@Mba3gar Upbeat and fast paced music makes me think and type faster probably but I don't focus too much on the music, it's just a background noise.

Techno, rap (I've only listened to Eminem so far tho) and sometimes pop also work really well for this

@Mba3gar Reminded me I also listen to more quiet things like chillstep and synthwave too sometimes.

    They're pretty nice!

Chill hop or a playlist of calm and chill rap.

    Occasionally pop or mumble rap.

On a rare occasion some hard EDM. (Not hard style, but not the garbage big room or "trap" that you find on Trap City/Nation)

I often listen to relaxing piano music.

I avoid listened to music/bands where any of the people involved has committed suicide

depends on my mood and what i could use,
long dev session in my home no interuptions, drone or ambient, i listen to drone when i sleep, so its kind of programmed by now in my brain to auto relax. When i'm tired in the night, need to get shit done before the morning, most of the time some techno / techhouse, same goes for prior-deadline weekends.
Listen to metal often, but thats just never right for dev for me personally, hip hop also, makes me want to go outside lol

    90's punk rock in general

I still get goose bumps listening to Billy Talent

    Sometimes 90's gangster rap

    Yeah I'm a bit old..

If I really need to concentrate, it has to be music I don't know the lyrics to, so I mostly listen to some random rap Playlist on spotify. Also just rap in general makes me more focused

@Mba3gar Haha, take a listen at Malice ft Thyron - Beat you to death, I listen to that while servering around or programming ;P

But yeah hardstyle/raw hardstyle/rawstyle and especially underground raw.

    1. silence
    2. glitch hop/dnb/dubstep
    3. podcasts with familiar voices i'm already used to therefore they just become easily ignorable white noise that just provides the feeling that i'm not dead alone

but the only true concentration is the first one.
all of tge rest is bulshitting my brain into some kind of mental exertion so that it goes "well... while i'm active already, i might as well invest some of the capacity into thinking about this code"

None, does it matter what's really playing when you're so focused on that fucking bug you're trying try to find for last 3 hours and you've no idea what's going around

Rock/metal, like arch enemy, jinjer, pierce the veil and lovely Capture the crown

Anything I enjoy listening to is normally effective, for me it's QOTSA, but it's not for everyone.

I listen to silence! I can't concentrate if there's a lot of noise in the room.

Any type of metal or punk does not work for me when working. Rap works, so does some singer/songwriter stuff. Generally, I prefer some brown noise generator, though...

    Rap. Mostly by Marshall Mathers.
    One album at a time.
    EDM or alternative.
    Yiruma's piano compositions

    And now the best
    ASMR audios
