@Stuxnet you are right. They are both computer repair, but one company has a very strict method and tends to bundle unwanted and unneeded software. I may also have to edit the occasional video. The other, I could do what I wanted.

I also forgot to mention that I know both of the owners of the companies personally, so I am afraid that turning down one job may jeopardize our relationship.

@TechnoTrumpet hmm depends where you are in you career. If you've done some years in the industry, the job offer with "I can do whatever i want" sounds like a good fit for 1 or 2 years. Great opportunity to shine and polish your cv for the future?

Apprenticeship is a career pathway where individuals can earn and learn at the same time!

@TechnoTrumpet cool. In 2009 Swiss companies in the USA couldn't
find qualified workers. So they tried to recreate the swiss model of the apprenticeship. President Obama heard about it and made it 2013 a goverment programm.
In Switzerland and Germany about two thirds do an apprenticeship and one third goes to college. And after the apprenticeship you can go into higher education while working 80%.
So if you know both bosses personally and you think an apprenticeship would be a good idea. You may pitch them the benefits of becoming a company which trains apprentices? -
Just met with one of them: offering me $45 starting then $75 per hour with me as a contractor. Opinion?
