I (and many devs might too) need some advice.

Well, I'm happy and sad at the same time :) :(
I'm so happy because finally I can put a floor pet on my avatar. I put my yellow favorite cat (its name is "Güero/Blondie"). On the other hand, I'm so sad because last week, my stupid and drug addict neighbor poisoned my cat :'( (not the yellow one, it was a gray cat. I'm 90% sure that he did it, he tried to do it last year). I know that it was only a cat, but I felt terribly all the past week, I couldn't even think or code. Fortunately it was the ending of the sprint and my code was successfully tested, so I didn't have to code, only trying not to cry at the office.

What would you do in this situation? I mean, those days when you feel like sh*t but you need to go to work and finish the code.

    @spongessuck Believe me, I wanted so hard to do it, and not just the knees, his head too, but I'm not a violent person.

    Sorry to hear that. Well if he's a hardcore drug addict, from top of my head, why not make yourself feel a bit better by calling cops anonymously and telling them that you suspect he's making some drugs at his place. Watching them break into his house when he's home should make you feel atleast bit better. Also cops might not find a lab there but they might find atleast something to make his life even more miserable.

    Killing one's pet is not a small thing, I'd make sure to even watch his habbits and plan something that will make his life reciprocally bad.

    Take a day off and get out and away from your house/apartment.

    Pets become a part of the family, so losing one is to lose part of one's self. We get attached to the little fuzzballs and their antics. I think I would have taken the cat to the vet, and told the vet that the neighbor poisoned him. Around here, that will start an investigation. So sorry for your loss.

    @myss the thing is that, in my country, if you wanna acuse somebody with the police, you need to know his name or you give your name to the police 😞 and I’m afraid of doing that because he lives with 4 or 5 dudes with nurse uniforms (I think they study doctor stuff). I think that if I call the police he will try to kill my or my family because it would be obvious 😱😭

    @Stuxnet Unfortunately I can’t. We recently bought this house (we almost lose it) ☹️

    I’d like to leave my city, but here is where my job is, and I wanna get some professional experience before leaving 😕

    @iAmNaN I took her to the vet, but there’s no police investigation for animal murders in my city 😞the vet only put the stetoscope (I don’t know if I spelled it correctly) and gave us the option of leave the corpse there.

    @ElizadeathRaven No I meant just go away for a day. Stay out and do things to distract yourself.

    Like when I feel moody, I go driving late at night bc the roads are empty and I can blast sad music while just driving.

    When the retard neighbor shot at my cat (he was fine, shitface cant even aim) i simply let 3 cartridges loose in his car then lit his garden on fire. If you are less extreme, just call the cops on him.

    Ik someone that shot at people who were trespassing and then followed them to keep shooting in their direction.

    @RustyCookie in germany its just a damage of foreign property, you can get a max of 2 years or a money penality. But in a civil process(Criminal and civil litigation can be conducted together.) you can get a compensation for damages.

    Best advice would be to ram a pineapple down his sorry ass! Maybe you can get @rutee07 to do that for you... 🤔

    ... and on everybody who comes with the "just a cat" crap!

    Instead of calling the police, which will do nothing in 99% of the countrys against addicts(well not anything benefiting anybody) find out who hes getting his drugs from. Reporting that person to the police will actually hurt him and you can still keep distance.

    @EdoPhoenix @Electrineer I cannot call the police because it's too recent and, like I said, I'm 90% sure he did it, not 100%, but I'm gonna wait two or three months and I'll consider call the police for other reasons... it's terrible that people like that can even study medicine :o you don't know if your doctor is a killer or something like that :(

    @RustyCookie its sad but the german law knows only property(physical, monetary and intellectual) and persons(natural and juridical)
