You get paid a lot to nothing or paid adequately to do a lot.
My inner dev likes to keep busy I guess, plus having a workplace constantly pushing me to do new things is rewarding in its self and the pay check isn't the worst, I've had worse. -
for my job title I'd go with Joker like when playing cards, you use the joker wherever fit.
Salary, not enough too ... -
cursee165986yMyanmar
I-dont-know (probably a developer)
Min $0 - Max $650 (avg $250)
And I usually work 08:00 to 19:00 from Mon to Fri. -
Hungary
Absolute fucking retard
Not enough
Also your profile says you live in LA, make up your mind -
Root797346ySalary also depends on experience, though, not just country or region therewithin.
Rails devs can make anywhere from 40k to 160k here in the US. So. -
Germany
Backend(Perl)
6k/year after taxes
Still in an intership and this may jump to 30 ish k/year after that -
@Root you are missing the "shitty people variable" salary depends on way more factors than that.
-
United States (not bay area)
Java / Golang / Typescript / React
Sr. Software Engineer
$250k -
@wyvernzora thats nice, thanks. Wanna leave the eu in a few years, still tryna decide between usa and japan
-
webdev21976y@C0D4
cheers to @wyvernzora, i'm not even close to the half of that, while earning double the average in the country i'm currently living in, and triple the average of my home country - doing front end and copy pasting things that managers are too lazy to copy paste
ps: not complaining, i'm pretty happy at the moment -
@ganjaman considering that we don't have a culture in which committing suicide due to being overworked is a thing and women/males do not like sex I would say: U.S
I have been to Japan. It ain't as hyped up as it seems.
Come to Texas. We have yees and haws.
And guns.
So
Many
Guns -
@ganjaman I actually work for one of the FAANG companies. If you can work in the HQ of one of them, getting to $250k is actually not that hard.
The hard part is getting hired. -
@ganjaman ok but would you rather die by getting shot at or by being overworked?
One way of going out sounds cooler if you ask me -
@wyvernzora a have a skillset that facebook really wants but i dont wanna assist in mass data collection :/
@AleCx04 what if my job is getting shot at? -
Root797346y@ganjaman Same here. I refuse to work for facebook, google, amazon, microsoft. I've been contacted by recruiters from three of them, and know someone who works at the forth.
So instead: remote rails/react jobs! -
Root797346yI've been interviewing for jobs paying anywhere from $60k to $160k per year.
The $60k is definitely low. -
cst199220556y@Eversor That's great salary. But I guess, being freelance, the effective salary is a third to a half of that?
-
Eversor3525y@cst1992 late reply, but I think I keep roughly 50 out of the 75 after taxes and costs (mainly my car and laptop actually)
-
cst199220555y@Eversor No, I mean due to the nature of the work, it'd be 30-50% as regular as a monthly salary.

I've been married 21 years. She is a stay at home mom. But she raises millions for charity so she does work just doesn't contribute to our bottom line.
It has been my honor to provide a life for the angel of my heart. So she can help others. Our relationship grows stronger with every passing year and I couldn't be happier. Two wonderful kids one of them will surpass my coding ability soon.
Marriage is just like any other relationship you get out of it what you put into it.
