    @AleCx0
You get paid a lot to nothing or paid adequately to do a lot.

My inner dev likes to keep busy I guess, plus having a workplace constantly pushing me to do new things is rewarding in its self and the pay check isn't the worst, I've had worse.

@endor yes, I'm a hacker that wants to steal your money.
  • 3
for my job title I'd go with Joker like when playing cards, you use the joker wherever fit.

Work anywhere on the fucking earth, nothing is enough.

Salary also depends on experience, though, not just country or region therewithin.

Rails devs can make anywhere from 40k to 160k here in the US. So.

@wyvernzora thats nice, thanks. Wanna leave the eu in a few years, still tryna decide between usa and japan
  • 1
    @C0D4

cheers to @wyvernzora, i'm not even close to the half of that, while earning double the average in the country i'm currently living in, and triple the average of my home country - doing front end and copy pasting things that managers are too lazy to copy paste

ps: not complaining, i'm pretty happy at the moment
  • 2
@ganjaman considering that we don't have a culture in which committing suicide due to being overworked is a thing and women/males do not like sex I would say: U.S

I have been to Japan. It ain't as hyped up as it seems.

Come to Texas. We have yees and haws.

    And guns.

    So

    Many

    Guns
  • 3
@AleCx04 but i dont like sex and wanna die 🙄
  • 1
@ganjaman I actually work for one of the FAANG companies. If you can work in the HQ of one of them, getting to $250k is actually not that hard.

The hard part is getting hired.
  • 2
@ganjaman ok but would you rather die by getting shot at or by being overworked?

One way of going out sounds cooler if you ask me
  • 1
@electrineer yes he asked for salery not bonus. 😁
  • 2
@wyvernzora a have a skillset that facebook really wants but i dont wanna assist in mass data collection :/

@AleCx04 what if my job is getting shot at?
  • 1
@ganjaman Same here. I refuse to work for facebook, google, amazon, microsoft. I've been contacted by recruiters from three of them, and know someone who works at the forth.

    So instead: remote rails/react jobs!
  • 1
    Freelance php/vuejs, €75/hour
  • 0
I've been interviewing for jobs paying anywhere from $60k to $160k per year.

    The $60k is definitely low.
  • 1
@Eversor That's great salary. But I guess, being freelance, the effective salary is a third to a half of that?
  • 0
    Uk
    Fucking eggs everywhere
    Minimum wage
  • 0
@cst1992 late reply, but I think I keep roughly 50 out of the 75 after taxes and costs (mainly my car and laptop actually)
  • 0
    @rendezvous Damn. I'm jealous.
  • 0
@Eversor No, I mean due to the nature of the work, it'd be 30-50% as regular as a monthly salary.
  • 0
@rendezvous Now I'm scared to marry.
  • 2
I've been married 21 years. She is a stay at home mom. But she raises millions for charity so she does work just doesn't contribute to our bottom line.

It has been my honor to provide a life for the angel of my heart. So she can help others. Our relationship grows stronger with every passing year and I couldn't be happier. Two wonderful kids one of them will surpass my coding ability soon.

Marriage is just like any other relationship you get out of it what you put into it.
