Who here uses Firefox as their Android browser?

I was fed up with all the ads on Chrome, so I switched to Firefox and installed uBlock Origin on it.
    Not regretting it at all.

    I use Bromite

I'm slowly changing from chrome to firefox

I've got adaway so that's not a reason to change for me

Firefox Preview here. Man, it's fast.

I use TugaPower. It’s based on CAF sources and as such is heavily optimized for MSM8996 (Snapdragon 820). It’s a pity that CAF seems to have abandoned the project.

    Focusing on just Focus 🧐

but devrant teached me to use ddg!

@RantSomeWhere Are you talking about the browser or ROM?
  • 2
@gronostaj they have a browser. I believe it’s called TugaPower as well.

I switched now on my computer and smartphone to firefox.

Using FF on all platforms that I can, including Android. I don't trust Chrome on privacy issues, and Google really needs some competition. I don't want to see "Best viewed with Chrome" on webpages (even if some pages already today only works on chrome. Fuck'em!).

Fucking me! The only respectable Android browser with extension support.
  • 2
@irene Nothing, I do as well; fed up with Chrome ads.

@flake they broke a couple of web standards, it’s kinda a new IE on the block
  • 2
@devTea haha. I was about to say same until I saw yours. 😂
  • 2
I used to use it but missed chrome. Installed Brave instead of going back to chrome and I'm super happy 😁

    Using Firefox.

Kind of annoyed that some stuff keeps breaking, especially because Google & app devs keep cramming chrome webviews into everything.

Open link in Slack/Discord? Hey, you're still within the same app! Your browser doesn't open, you stay inside your chat app! How convenient right? NO ADBLOCK FOR YOU, NO PASSWORD MANAGEMENT FOR YOU, BUT IT'S SO FUCKING CONVENIENT RIGHT? WHO CARES ABOUT CHOICE, RIGHT?

    ✋, 4 versions of it

    Used to. Use duckduckgo now

    @cst1992
Dis Boi using FF and FF beta
NoScript, https, adBlock plus & I don't care about cookies.
Its slow af but worth it.
Every time I see all those 50k hosts each giving me a different char on a faceDeBouk share link infested 'forum' hosted on NSAs Google front end, it really makes my heart jolly to block the fuck out of 'em.
Fuck those marketing and advertising herpes in particular!

#MeToo. Synchronizing Tabs proofs quite useful when you read stuff without bookmarks.
  • 3
@p100sch "send to" is even better. and chrome doesn't have that at all
  • 3
@scor why adblock plus instead of uBlock Origin? Plus is slow AF. Also you can disable all scripts without NoScript in uBlock.

I'm using Kiwi browser sometimes (webkit based). It has a build-in adblocker, night mode and they say that it blocks most of the tracking scripts.
  • 0
@cst1992 why don’t you install ublock on chrome?

@rlowe this rant was about firefox mobile. Chrome mobile does not support extensions.

@electrineer oh my bad! Thanks for clearing that up :)

@electrineer No points for guessing why 😉
