    I like java, one if the best languages out there, if u take into account stuff like build systems, IDE support, library ecosystem

    @-red OP talks about Java being still not dead. You're talking about how much you don't like Java. How are the two related?

    I like Java, I see the point in not liking it, but as someone who learned writing code in Java I'm really familiar with it. On the other hand I truly dislike eg. Javascript and nearly all its dialects, so everyone got his preferences I guess.

    @caap so it is your fault that thing is still alive then. Unfortunately this means that we'll have to make some "arrangements".

    It will probably end up like cobol. Not being used too much but some critical business stuff being written it making it still necessary. Not to mention the languages written in Java. :)
