@bittersweet that's just more billable hours for the company doing the client's work. I imagine that's how the higher-ups see it anyway.

@Wisecrack That works if you have clients who are directly charged for hours. In our case, we earn money from subscriptions and other end user fees — so tech debt and delayed maintenance is just translated into a worse user experience and less end user happiness & loyalty, which bugs me.
