Don't know, I just don't trust who runs their frontend in a port other than 8080

    I use docker, everything is always running on 80 and 443 without any special effort.

    I've always used port 3000, its the default port for Create React App, and so it's simpler to do everything in the same place

    @homo-lorens this.
    And ppl not using docker for their projects, fuck you.

    How about we do this crazy stuff called DNS service discovery in a proxy and just shit on ports as everything is going in on port 80 and gets proxied via it's container hostname in docker?

    @c3r38r170 Just moderate wrongly tagged posts with varying level of harshness, once you moderate enough and become globally recognised for your service, you'll become a part of Tag police.

    I usually go with ports near 5000. Or I used to. Now that all my stuff runs on containers everything has its own port 80.
