Considering that there are no restrictions on time and resources.

For me, I'll add 'Go to Today' button for quick return in case shit goes South when exploring the no man's land..

I’d make sure I wouldn’t materialize in a solid wall, empty air, a lake, in plain sight of anyone, …

Or run out of power.
Or air.

Also camouflage a la a police box.

Also medical because who knows what will happen. And an armory. And a research center with cameras and mics and all sorts of things. And bunks for friends. And a party room or two.

And everything else because I’m totally going to live there.

Set it in "do not enter time" mode and have a fucking indefinite snooze 😴

@12bitfloat how's that a feature and it makes no sense in the context of time machine.

A travel guide with quick facts about every age within the human era. Valuables you can exchange for local currency, social and political situations in various parts of the world, natural environment, diseases, key historical events.

It would also mention the best learning resources that will have ever existed about each term so that the user is preferably more familiar with the age they're travelling to than any inhabitants they might meet.
