Being radical in anything is not good overall. Being right or left, liberal or conservative is okay as long as you don't get those ideas to extremes.

There's a philosophical debate whether liberalism and "wokeism" is beneficial or hurtful.

Regarding liberalism, there is something to be said about modern culture trying to push changes without doing a proper research. Liberalism itself seems like a good notion (though some philosophical schools claim It's turning almost religious and dangerous these days) I'd say you have to be very mindful of which of their Claims to adopt and which to leave out. I'd say Cherry Pick whatever you want from whatever political side you want.

Regarding wokeness, take the case of Africa Brooks, who was part of the woke culture but after a while realized that her 'new' beliefs were mostly group Pressure and at certain times she felt almost fear of what would happen if she asked questions or talked to people she was told were 'evil'... I really recommend reading her article on "leaving the cult of wokeness" to get better insight

I hate that US definition of "liberal". Originally liberal would be the opposite of authoritarian - on a scale measuring personal freedom.

Nowadays it's unfortunately often abused by neoliberal parties (which are not necessarily liberal), but that's a separate issue.

Also what "left" means in the US (hint: both popular factions would be considered "right" in Europe), but I digress..

The word liberal means drastically different things in different contexts. You basically need to know the political history of the country and the current discourse to know what it refers to. Also, social liberalism and economical liberalism often lead to outcomes that are the exact opposite. So, instead of understanding the meaning of the word, it's more important to understand the narrative around the word.

Left liberal woke shit is like asking everyone what pronoun they prefer and getting offended if someone doesn't ask them, being vocally vegan, saying works of performance, art, or fiction are "problematic" if they have anything remotely non-PC and subsequently loudly boycotting said thing if such offense is deemed offensive enough (usually doesn't take much).

It's mostly just being offended all the time on others' behalf, and just generally being an unlikeable person who takes their lack of genuine friendships out on the world.

Liberalism can mean very different things in different countries. Here in sweden, a liberal is usally someone who's for less government, which in the US would be more of a conservative. So I'm glad you clarified it as "left liberal" to clarify we're primarily what's being about the US viewpoint.
(Allthough the "woke" idea is probably more globally understandable)

I imagine that what the people who fear "left liberal woke shit" imagine that the future will involve stuff like: a) having office meetings about avoiding to assume pronouns b) renaming 'master' to 'main' c) before a meeting you discuss topics and trigger words that are off limits - to avoid offending anyone at all costs.

It's a compilation of adjectives one gives when they have no logical argument to bring to the table, and just mean to say you're making them uncomfortable with your progressive agenda.
