RTRMS37897yI'd love that company, I usually wake up proud so I'd never actually then need to go in.

@sam9669
Tell me about it! 😤😡 It's a startup and these are juniors who are burning the midnight oil - I think this is hugely unfair that they're allowed to work 'til what time of night. I'm sure they get paid or some other benefit, but that's not the point. -
@RTRMS
You have to work 'til what time of night to get that kind of recognition! 😒 -
Its all funny and butterflys... I work in the molding company and were pushed to do 12 hours shifts... While a single mistake (usually done when we're tired) costs more then I'll win all my life. (imagine damaging a piece that already costs like 20 or 30k... )

@RodrigoF
This is kinda my point here! When you're working on a system where mistakes could potentially the client huge amounts of money, let's ensure that those working on the front lines are in tip top shape when doing so.
And telling them to go home at 5pm is an easy start! -
Most employers don't know what that is... They only see work and numbers... In Portugal most employers think employees are slaves, below them... So they only see what they see, not the reality
-
For employers the longer you work the better, but most times is not the one that's stays after 8pm that is productive, but the one that left 6pm but gave it his all during his 8hours of work

So this just happened... not to me, but at my friend's company.
The devs are being congratulated and spurred on for working late! I don't know about you, but this is not the kind of culture that should be encouraged.
