No, you just need to be around for a while, grow some business sense and have HR on your side. The technical seniority is bs in most cases, most people calling themselves seniors aren’t that much better technically in my experience anyway

Good company usually have career path for their employees and tell them what criteria you should get to climb the ladder, or you ou can ask if the information is not provided. 5 years without promotion and same salary? Man, inflation is eating your money everyday.
