The mouse is fantastic. The placement of the charging port is mental. I have one too and couldn't quite believe it at first.

Because you're not supposed to use it while it charges. And the only way to make sure Apples sheep of customers don't, is to place the charger there

Yes some people will get an apple device simply because their friends do or because they see that as the “cool” option.

However there will be equally as many people who go with windows or android products for the very same reason. On top of that, many people who buy these products will do so because it is there genuine personal preference.

I for one couldn’t give two fucks about popular opinion or what the guy next to me is doing. I buy what I buy and use what I use because it’s what appeals to me. I’m sure that the vast vast majority of others are the same.
