You don't have to hack the Kernel to work in LAMP.

I have no idea how linux works. Ive only ever messed around with aircrack on kali. So i dont know my way around the os at all

I am doing the same thing. My last experience with Linux has about 20 years. Now I installed Elementary at home and got a cloud to put all my sites.

@TH3SN3R it's not really difficult. There is a lot of tutorials on the web. I am following them and learning a lot

Im waiting for a desktop to install, cus im running Ubuntu Server. When thats done ill check a few tutorials. Thanks man

@TH3SN3R get Raspberry Pi and you can play with a lot more than just Linux ;)

Im a student in south africa so cash is slow. Hahah but ive been trying to convince my gf for like 2months to get me a pi for an early christmas present

My server is finally up and running. No problems yet. Now I just need the dev to create the website and buy a domain and we'll hope for the best

Already spotted a domain name that we want at a decent price. And the site is basically just gonna be a gallery of artwork from a home business. Maybe with a order function included. We'll see

When buying a domain, do a research on the prices. For my national domain (.pl) prices vary from about $3 to over $100. Prices vary in time after domain is sold to you - registration is usually cheaper than renewal.

Im looking at a .com, prices arent bad. R 44 registrasion and R 245 renewal. Thats about $3USD and $18USD

With my provider aftermarket.pl it would be 35PLN and 40PLN for renewal. It's something between 10 and 15 $.
