potential new client, immediately says:

"we have to get this website to number 1 on google as fast as possible!!!!!"

god why is it always the same

i'm tempted to ask, "great, no problem, do you have thousands to spend?"

i already know what the answer is

    Easy:
Grind a horn of a unicorn to a fine powder and sprinkle it onto the website evenly.

"we are also unwilling to work on the content, suck it"

just build a static version of it and let the client use that.

what do they mean get to number one? Did they even give a list of keywords? Location? Platform?

Tbh it aint that hard if ur willing to be unethical

Just make sure you've a few spare old wikipedia accs

Reference obscure unmoderated articles, cross reference them in reddit/forums in a non-spammy way

and if uve okish number of visits to begin with, google would take you to page one easily (at least in the beginning)

if you get the clicks there u stay there else u get replaced

@msdsk "you're a 'dev', can't you just use this new thing called chatGPT to generate the perfect content?"

Ah, of course, i forgot about this gamechanger (and, apparently, the gamechanger of devrant image compression so here it is: https://i.imgur.com/V7Pzw0T.png )

@msdsk this looks exactly like the content on the website of the new shell company of the 🤡s i used to work with

Yup. That’s my go-to question: “How many millions are you prepared to spend to dominate #1 indefinitely? I can maybe get you there temporarily for a few hundred thousand. But you’re gonna need to spend serious dough to stay there.”
